Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 27, 2026
Applies to: Shuodingle (com.mysapps.shuodingle)
Developer: YepTech
Shuodingle helps you and up to three friends track something you've agreed to do together, with a daily "light it" check-in. We take your privacy seriously — this policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Anonymous device identity: the first time you set a nickname, the app registers a randomly generated, anonymous device identifier with our server and receives a login token stored on your device. This identifier is never linked to your real name, phone number, or email — we never ask for or know those.
1.2 Nickname: the nickname you choose, stored on our server (so people you make a pact with can see it).
1.3 Pact data: the pact title, goal description, reminder time, start date, and invite code you create or join, plus check-in history and "nudge"/"keep a light on" timestamps for you and other members of the same pact — stored on our server so members can see each other's progress.
1.4 Push credential and time zone: if you turn on notifications under "You → Notifications", we store your device's Apple push credential (APNs token) and system time zone, used only to send the notifications described in section 4 — cleared when you turn notifications off or delete your account.
1.5 Device and usage data: this version has no analytics, crash-reporting, or ad SDK integrated. We do not collect device model or usage behavior data.
2. Where this data lives
The information above is stored in our server database, used to sync state between members of the same pact. Beyond what fellow pact members can already see (nickname, check-in status), we don't show your data to anyone outside your own pacts.
3. What we don't do
· No ad tracking, no third-party ad SDKs;
· We never ask for or collect your name, phone number, email, or other identity information (this version has no sign-up — only an anonymous device identity);
· We don't sell or share your data with anyone outside your own pacts;
· No commercial profiling or behavioral analysis.
4. Notifications
If you turn on notifications under "You → Notifications":
· The daily "time to light it up" reminder is mainly generated locally on your device at the time you set;
· "Nudge" and "keep a light on" notifications are pushed to you in real time by our server via Apple's push service (APNs) once another member takes the matching action — these can only come from our server, not generated locally;
· Sending those pushes requires storing your device's push credential, per section 1.4.
5. Account and data deletion
· "You → About → Delete account" deletes your account — this leaves every pact you're in (deleting a pact outright if that leaves it with no one in it), and permanently deletes your nickname and everything tied to this anonymous device identity, immediately and irreversibly.
· Simply uninstalling the app does NOT delete your data from our server (pacts need to keep working for the other members after you uninstall) — delete your account first if you want it gone, or email us at the address below.
6. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us using the details below.
7. Policy updates
If we change how notifications work or add new kinds of data processing, we'll update this policy and prompt you in the app. Material changes will be posted in the app and on this page.
