Welcome to Shuodingle. Please read these Terms carefully before using the app. By downloading, opening, or using the app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. What this is
Shuodingle helps you and up to three friends track something you've agreed to do together, using a daily "light it" check-in — no ranking, no streak counters.
2. Your responsibilities
· Only share your invite code with people you actually know and trust;
· Don't put anything illegal, harassing, rights-infringing, or otherwise inappropriate in your nickname or pact description;
· Don't use the app for anything that violates applicable local laws.
3. Current state of the service
· The app needs no sign-up, no phone number, no email — the first time you set a nickname, an anonymous device identity is created automatically; that's your "account";
· Pact and member data is stored on our server, so invite codes genuinely work across devices — you and a friend can each join the same pact from your own phones;
· Uninstalling the app does not delete your pact data from our server (other members still need it) — delete your account first via "You → About → Delete account" if you want it fully gone;
· If you enable notifications, "nudge" and "keep a light on" are pushed to you in real time by our server via Apple's push service; the daily light-it-up reminder is mainly generated locally on your device. We may continue to adjust how notifications work in future versions; we will update these Terms and notify you in advance when that happens.
4. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for outcomes arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reminders not arriving on time, or sync delays caused by network or server issues.
5. Intellectual property
The app's text, design, and code are the developer's intellectual property and may not be copied, distributed, or used commercially without permission.
6. Changes and termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting your account or uninstalling it. We may also adjust or remove features for maintenance or compliance reasons; if you violate these Terms, we may restrict your access to the relevant features.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
8. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; updates will be posted in the app or on this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
